Heya fellow WCC members! Sorry for not blogging for quite a long time, I am just super busy with my new university stuff :c

But I haven't forgotten you and I kinda miss the times when I posted polls and we had endless discussions on these, about the most random stuff ever (nostalgia!). But we also got a lot of new members who - I bet - would love to interact with all the awesome people here.

So, to anyone who is a bit bored right now, I got some ideas what we can do to fresh things up :D You can comment here and SHOUT for attention! Other members may see your comment and interact with it. Cool idea, huh ;D

So this is what you could do:

SHOUT for an art trade with a fellow member
Just post a comment saying you would like to do a Warriors art trade! Maybe post a link to some works of yours and you surely will find someone who would love to do an art trade!

SHOUT for a discussion
Just get a controversial topic up (it could concern Warriors) and people can reply and discuss with you about it. It can be a lot of fun, discussing your favourite characters, Warriors artists, whether there should be a movie made about Warriors, and so on.

SHOUT for the attention of a WarriorCatsClaim admin
Got improvements or suggestions for this group? Just tell us! I will go through all the comments and of course reply. It is important to stay close to all the members.

As a side note, to everyone who is impatiently waiting for another collaboration or a contest... I don't have the time to run one right now. If this group stays active the next months there definitely will be another big event soon in the future but not until further notice, sorry :(

Now have fun ;D

In past tests, cats appeared to distinguish between the low to mid light wave spectrum (higher frequency), meaning cats responded to the colors purple, blue, green and yellow range. Red, orange and brown colors appear to fall outside cats color range and are most likely seen as shades of gray or purple. Cats appear to see less saturation in colors than do humans, meaning cats do not see colors as intensely or vibrantly. Blue and green appear to be the strongest colors perceived by cats.

I copied that from wikianswers. But my point is, in the books, cats can see all the colors we can. I mean, I know it's fiction and the cats are like humans in a cat's body, but still ... it's interesting to think about.

Yeah i have thought about that, too! Have you guys thought about how kits eyes r open when they r like 2 days old, when in real life it takes about 2 weeks??

I've thought of that before, and I think it would be a really interesting experiment for an author to write in an animal's point of view more realistically than the norm do. :'D The problem with writing that way is it would seem a bit bland and boring to the readers because a very common and effective way to express emotion or get a clear picture of something is through color. It's a difficult task when you have a limited number of colors that, let's face it, aren't very interesting while you're trying to portray something that you think could be amazing.

It's also similar with noises and tastes. Technically no one knows specifically what a cat hears, tastes, smells, ect. so it's mainly a guessing game. I think Erin Hunter has done a decent job giving us the perspective of a cat all this time. :)

Have you ever read White Fang? I remember it being written from the wolf's point of view, with a lot of effort taken by the author to capture the essence of what it's like to know nothing about the world and have to learn it by just watching and experience, as animals do.

I think the Erins have done great too, I especially connect with the cats' body language!
